Amanda Fisher - Woodhouse

I will be stand again as the Labour candidate for the District Council election on May 2nd 2019 for the Woodhouse Ward.

While I have been your local councillor I have dealt with and supported residents with issues, such as repairs and Anti social behaviour.

Working along side and building great working practices with council officers, police and community groups to make our community a safer and cleaner place to live.

Setting up community meetings when there have been issues that have affected parts of our community, such as planning issues street cleansing.

With my membership on the Budget scrutiny committee I have prevented parking charges at Mansfield Woodhouse Train Station, this is something I will be keeping a close on on in the future.

When working in our community I have made links with local businesses and sought their support to enhance our community. Vale Court now have a beautiful seated garden area for all the resident to enjoy, The Lords ground now has 2 large waste bins and 2 benches enhancing the park for all.

Engaging with local young people to do litter picks to encourage community pride. Durning any advers weather I’ve organised snow clearing for the most vulnerable in our ward this has brought the generations together in a positive way enhancing and enriching life’s.

Being your district councillor has be a privilege and a pleasure and I you will support me at the polling station on May 2nd.
