My name is Craig Whitby and I have been selected by Mansfield Labour party as the candidate for Manor Ward in the local elections in May. I have many connections in Manor Ward with all four of my children attending Leas Park and Nettleworth schools, where I was a governor for 8 years. I have also recently been appointed as the Child Welfare Officer of Manor Football Club and spend most weekends at Manor Sports and Recreation Centre.
This ward has been in Labour control since its creation and I plan on keeping it that way. In the coming months, myself and colleagues will be knocking on every door in this ward and I want to meet and talk to as many residents as possible.
I am currently working with sitting councillors at both district and county level, to fully understand the issues affecting the area. I am working with Councillor Joyce Bosnjak, to continue to find a solution to the on-going parking issues around Ley Lane, and the planned developments in the area that could make the problems so much worse.
Mansfield Labour want to engage and learn from as many residents in the district as possible and listen to what you think is important and how you want your council to run.
