Mark Fretwell
Kingsway

I would like to introduce myself as the Labour Party candidate for the Kingsway Ward at the 2019 District Council elections.
I was born in Mansfield and I grew up in the family home in Boughton. My dad was a fork-lift truck driver at Kirton Brickworks and my mum was a wages clerk at a clothes factory. After a few years away for work and study I returned home and began working at Mansfield Building Society. I have worked locally in finance ever since and during which time I have helped many residents within the Mansfield district on financial matters. I retired from giving financial advice in 2015 and I now concentrate on financial research and writing financial reports.
I have lived in Forest Town since 2013 with my partner and my youngest child who goes to Holly Primary.
I am active within the community and I hope you may recognise me from my attendance at local events and within local organisations. As an active Trustee and volunteer for the Forest Town Nature Conservation Group I have helped attract funding and publicity to the charity. Also I am an active supporter and volunteer at AFC Mansfield, whose home is Forest Town Welfare.
Kingsway NEEDS a local councillor that believes in public duty, has the genuine interests of the ward at heart and the skills necessary to be effective. I am that candidate.
Please support myself and the Labour Party at the forthcoming local elections on the 2nd May.
Together we CAN make change happen.
